WHY FERMENTATION?
Fermentation is an ancient technique that not only makes foods last longer, but also makes them healthier and tastier. Through the fermentation process, you get a lot of good bacteria that promote gut health and increase the nutritional value of your food.

Fermentation pots
At Rotpot you will find a wide range of fermentation jars, including models with water locks for optimal fermentation process. All of our complete fermentation kits are perfect for beginners and include everything you need to start fermenting right away. Whether making kimchi, sauerkraut or other fermented delicacies.
Jar with airlock
A jar with a airlock allows gases to escape without new oxygen entering, preventing mold growth and ensuring your vegetable fermentations always succeed. All three of our Mustard, Kraut and Kimchi jars come with a water seal.
SUSTAINABLE & SOCIAL
Kitchen Farmers is a training ground and sheltered workplace for people who join the fermentation mission for short or long periods of time.
RotPot is assembled and packaged by employees distanced from the labor market. This is done in cooperation with a nearby sheltered workshop.
Herbs and spices are of European origin and sustainably grown whenever possible. The materials are carefully chosen based on origin, with as little environmental impact as possible, and are suitable for long-term use.
When we ferment ourselves or conduct workshops, we work as much as possible with what is locally available in season. Butts and husks are also fermented and feed our neighborhood vegetable garden bin.

THE MAKER
Rotpot is a product of Kitchen Farmers, a platform dedicated to local and sustainable food. Since Sanne became fascinated by the enormous possibilities and benefits of fermentation, her mission has been to get everyone fermenting. In 2013, she therefore founded Kitchen Farmers. With the RotPot fermentation pots, giving lectures and workshops, and her book Zuurgoed, she wants to inspire everyone to start fermenting at home. In this way, everyone can contribute to a healthier and more sustainable food chain.
